Carpet offers comfort, sound proofing and insulation to all the rooms in your home or business. There are many different styles, colour and prices to suit all tastes and budgets.

100% wool

Being a natural fibre, wool carpet offers durability and softness. Wool carpet will absorb noise and help to keep your home cool in summer and warm in winter. It is soil and stain resistant and is also naturally fire retardant. Wool also has the benefit of being an eco-friendly and naturally biodegradable fibre.

Wool blends are usually made up of 80% wool and 20% synthetic fibres. They are slightly more durable than 100% wool but still offers similar softness and stain resistance. Wool blend carpet will often have reduced shedding compared to 100% wool.

Nylon/solution dyed nylon

Nylon/solution dyed nylon is a cost effective and durable fibre that is extremely soft and offers excellent stain resistance. Nylon carpet also offers a larger range of colour choice compared to natural fibres.

Polypropylene

Polypropylene is the most cost effective carpet. It is durable, stain resistant and colour fast. Polypropylene is cheaper than nylon carpet but not as long wearing.

Carpet styles

Twist carpet

Twist carpets have a highly twisted pile that lies in different directions. This gives the carpet a textured appearance. This style is comfortable underfoot and suitable for high traffic areas and pets.

Loop carpet

Loop Carpet is created when the carpet pile forms a loop. It can have a range of patterns formed with higher and lower loops. This style includes Sisal and Berber carpet. It is durable and suitable for high traffic areas.

Plush carpet

Plush carpet has a luxurious feel with a high density pile. It is extremely soft underfoot with a formal look. Plush carpet has a tendency to shade but this is seen as a characteristic of the carpet style and does not affect the durability.

Textured carpet

Textured carpets are made up of loops and/or cut fibres of varying heights to give it a textured style. This is a durable style with a contemporary look.
